Features of child-parent attachment in persons with manifested addiction

The purpose of this study was the theoretical substantiation and empirical confi rmation of the features of child-parent attachment in people with addiction. The main research methods were: theoretical analysis of the literature on the research topic, psychodiagnostic method, methods of mathematical statistics. To collect data, a questionnaire was used to determine the type of attachment of M.V. Yaremchuk (2005). The study was conducted on the basis of the Krylia RC (Chelyabinsk, Russia). In the course of the work, 14 people with manifested addiction who are in rehabilitation and 10 people without a history of addiction were interviewed. In the course of the study, the types of attachment were determined in two groups, which were also divided into attachment to the mother and attachment to the father, on the basis of which they revealed diff erent types of attachment on three scales: the reliable type, the anxious-ambivalent type and the avoidant type. Based on statistical analysis, it was found that there is a signifi cant diff erence between the two groups in the avoidant type of attachment to the mother.
