Peculiarities of synonymic row dominant "migrant" in lexicographic sources of the French language

The article explores a synonymic row dominant «migrant», which represents the concept of «subject of migration» in French dictionaries. The nuclear and peripheral components of the meaning have been determined by the method of definitional and component analysis. On the basis of a quantitative distribution of components, the prototype meaning of this lexeme is determined on the example of the direct meaning. The next step is to consider how much the lexical prototype remains in the figurative meaning.
