Introduction. The growing number of obese patients and the rapid increase in the number of bariatric surgeries performed determines the relevance of the topic. The study is aimed at studying the psychological characteristics of patients with grade 2 and 3 obesity who have undergone bariatric surgery. This will reveal the relationship between fundamental motivations, components of self-esteem and situational components such as depression and anxiety.
