Features of Educational Technologies in China and the UAE Based on Artificial Intelligence

The article examines the evolution of the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) and its role in the modern educational process against the background of the digitalization of society. The key historical stages of AI formation as a scientific discipline are analyzed, and the definition of strong and weak artificial intelligence is also considered. A comparative analysis of the United Arab Emirates’s (UAE’s) and China’s approaches to the artificial intelligence (AI) integration into national development is carried out. Key indicators such as the volume of investments, the number of clusters, computing power as well as the level of AI usage among the population are deemed. Any particular attention is paid to both the UAE’s and China’s educational policies and their regulations in this area. The work highlights the importance of an integrated approach to AI development combining investment, education and technological innovations by the example of two leading global players.
