Health status of elderly people and their professional development

The article is devoted to determining the structure of professional health of elderly people. The authors raise the question about the content of elderly people's professional health as a characteristic that ensures the preservation of personality and effectiveness of professional activity. It should be noted that studies of professional health mostly concern specific professional groups, and the views on this phenomenon differ in domestic and foreign psychology. Foreign studies focus on employees' involvement in professional activity as a condition of professional health and well-being, and domestic studies focus on the totality of psychological characteristics that ensure the effectiveness of professional activity.
