Features of patriotic education of primary school students

The issue of patriotic education of school students is relevant in modern Russia since nowadays the society rethinks the leading value orientations, as well as due to the current crisis of the family institution and the presence of negative manifestations of students in the public life of the country (absence of a civil position, socially appropriate behaviour, participation in socially disapproved activities and online communities). At the moment the features of patriotic education in various types of educational organizations are understudied. The present research provides the experience of studying the features of patriotic education of primary school students of comprehensive schools and orthodox gymnasiums. It is concluded that primary school students of orthodox gymnasiums have a higher level of patriotic education (both boys and girls) compared to comprehensive school students.
