The article describes the features of translating different types of information in pedagogical discourse. Based on the lecture, the author analyzes the features of cognitive (factual), operational, emotional information in the speech of the teacher, lecturer. The researcher defines the functions of pedagogical discourse: mass-directed teaching character, monotony of speech of participants in the process, various ways of influencing students with speech methods, organizing character, teacher’s / lecturer’s speech actions, presence of modelling and organizing genres, speech genres. The author describes the characteristics of cognitive information as well: objectivity, abstraction, and density (compression). Operational information in the text of the lecture is presented as an incentive (call) to commit certain actions. The emotional information in the text of the lecture is described in terms of expressiveness, figurativeness of the speech of the teacher, lecturer. The paper provides the language means of transmitting the equivalent translation into Russian for each type of information.
