Features of experiencing the crisis of professional identity by psychology students with different levels of existential fulfillment

The paper discusses the crisis of professional identity of psychology students in connection with their existential fulfillment. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the professional identity of a person in the context of its existential fulfillment is a leading indicator of a person’s professional development, demonstrating how a person relates to his chosen professional activity in the present and whether he considers it as a factor of selfrealization in the future. In the constant volatility of the social environment, competition in the labor market a solution to the problem of this study can contribute to a reduction in the number of expelled students. In the course of the study, the level and content characteristics of existential fulfillment of psychology students were revealed; the peculiarities of experiencing the crisis of professional identity by psychology students with different existential fulfillment were studied. It is established that students of psychology with a medium-low level of expression of the components of existential fulfillment have significantly higher severity of the “crisis of unrealization”, “crisis of hopelessness”, “crisis of emptiness” and “general psychological crisis” than psychological students with an average level of expression of the components of existential fulfillment.
