The speciality of poetry of historical novels by Rosemary Sutcliff

In the article we can see a review and the analysis of speciality of historical writing by English writer Rosemary Satcliff. The author has made an attempt to find out the special treats of Sutcliff's writing, of its poetics, using such novels as «The Eagle», «The Silver Branch». «The Lantern Bear-ers» as a base; to determine the general themes, to depict the mythology and to search the influence of the main events of the 20 th century and the basic literature trends on her writing.
