Features of the vocational activity of a teacher of additional vocational education

The article presents the features of the vocational activity of a teacher of the organization of additional vocational education, teaching adults. The professionalism of a teacher of additional vocational education is based on factors contributing to its development and formation. The key characteristics of the vocational activity of teachers who provide additional vocational education bothin foreign countries and In Russia are analyzed. In particular, the main trends in the pedagogical activity of foreign teachers are highlighted, such as: compliance of teacher qualifications with the regulatory legal framework of the state; integration of positions and qualifications; the need for an internship at the workplace before starting teaching; availability of basic skills; the procedure for evaluating teacher qualifications. Turning to the vocational activity of Russian teachers of additional vocational education, we note that it is based on the requirements of regulatory legal documents; the teacher has basic skills, communication, psychological, pedagogical and managerial competence; striving for continuous professional growth and continuing education; assessment of the vocational activity of the teacher. The peculiarities of the work of Russian teachers of additional vocational education include the need to form multiprofessional competencies of students based on the requirements of andragogy and acmeology of vocational education, since such competencies increase the chance of employment for an adult job seeker or endow a working specialist with broad professional opportunities. The formation of an environment of professional self-determination by a teacher of additional vocational education in the organization of additional vocational education in the process of teaching adults helps to increase their readiness for an adequate professional choice. To this end, the teacher builds an individual learning trajectory that promotes the professional self-determination of the student. Among the features of the vocational activity of a teacher of additional vocational education, we include active organizational and methodological activities, research activities, and participation in the activities of research teams. In conclusion, the prospects for further scientific researchin the additional vocational education of adults are presented, among which we see mentoring support for students.
