Peculiarities of professional motivation of psychology students at different stages of university study

The paper discusses the peculiarities of professional motivation of psychology students - 1st and 4th year bachelor students, as well as Td year undergraduates. Based on student surveys and various research methods, the author shows that the choice of the profession of psychology by students depends on internal and external motivation and this motivation manifests itself at all stages of university education. At the same time, internal professional motives prevail over external ones, and positive external motives prevail over negative ones. It is concluded that in the learning process psychology students are guided by the motives of the productive trend more than by the consumption motives. The study allows us to determine those peculiarities of professional motivation that need to be developed in the process of training and consulting psychology students.
