The article discusses the features of social motives' display in senior preschool-aged children. The data are obtained during the study of children' s behavior in a kindergarten' s preparatory group in the conditions of implementing a task given by an adult that provokes the manifestation of the phenomenon of a bitter candy. The authors made an attempt to discover the connection between the peculiarities of social motives' display and the type of parental attitude.
