Peculiarities of development of academic stress and ability to cope with stress in students of humanitarian and technical specialties in the system of higher education

According to research the concepts of «stress», «ability to cope with stress», «mental tension” are considered. The causes of stress in students training in the conditions of the educational organization are itemized. The problem of studying stress as a natural state of mental tension of students in higher education is actualized. The results of empirical studies of the development of academic stress and the ability to cope with stress in students of humanitarian and technical specialties in the higher education system are described.Based on the analysis of the results of the study among the students of specialty «Linguistics» and «Applied Computer Science» the hypotheses are proved. According these hypotheses intensity of training load of the students of humanitarian specialties the rst courses does not lead to a signicant increase in the indicator of psychological distress and increased slightly to senior training courses; signicant academic load of the students of humanitarian specialties of senior training courses leads to increased educational stress; high levels of educational stress in students of technical education don’t signicantly affect their psycho-emotional state; stress level in students of technical specialties is much higher than that of students in humanities; high levels of stress are opposed to low values of psychological stress among students of technical specialties.The relationship between training stress with integral indicator of mental tension and the general level of stress in students of various courses in higher education are determined. Features of stress release in students of different specialties are studied. Relationship of stress and characteristics of mental and emotional state of students of different specialties in the conditions of the educational process is determined
