Features of the settlement structure on the site Vengerovo-2 of the Krotovo culture (Baraba forest-steppe)

The article describes the construction system and principles of the organization of living space on the Vengerovo-2 settlement of the Krotovo culture, Bronze Age (Baraba forrest-steppe). There was investigated the area of 1800 square meters. It was determined that the settlement had two-row oval structure. It is supposed that the building of houses was held according to prearranged plan as a single architectural ensemble. Outside of dwellings there were found a number ofpostholes, which surrounds the settlement. Their size, profiles, distance between them and reciprocal position consider that there was a fence. The uncovered construction had multifunctional purpose, but it didn’t have protective function.
