Features of legislative regulation of the exercise of active suffrage of citizens in the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus

This article aims to study the peculiarities of the legislative regulation of active suffrage in three countries: the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Belarus. The author analyzes legislative acts related to voting rights in these countries, identifying similarities and differences in the organization of the electoral process and contributing to the realization of citizens' right to vote. Special attention is paid to aspects such as universal, equal, and direct suffrage, free and secret ballots, and the openness and transparency of election commissions. The results of the study show that, despite a common historical background, the electoral systems in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus have unique characteristics and differences that are determined by the specific legal systems of each country. Further research in this area could contribute to a better understanding of electoral processes and the ways in which citizens express their will in these states.
