The article deals with the issue of the modern higher education, to be more exact - its quality. There are emphasized the reasons and characteristics of the crisis of the university education, there are underlined the ways of its overcoming. The basic scientific methods for the author are the theoretical analysis of the literary sources, the generalization and systematization of the scientific content.
