Words "откат" (kickback) and "распил" (sawing) in the student’s language consciousness (sketches for the psycholinguistic portraits)

The paper discusses the results of the associative experiment with the stimuli «откат» (kickback) and «распил» (sawing). It was hypothesized that these words had changed their meaning forming a bond with corruption as social phenomenon without it reflection in the dictionaries. The experiment results show that such meaning changes can be proved only for people interested in the socio-political life through the Internet. In general the connection of the two meanings with economic crimes are not solid in the minds of Russian speakers.
