Attitude of VIU RANEPA students towards non-traditional sports

The article examines the attitude of students at VIU RANEPA towards nontraditional sports, including parkour, skateboarding, CrossFit, yoga, paintball, roller sports, floorball, and capoeira. Based on a survey of 60 students, the popularity of these activities and the reasons for their choice were identified. Key factors include the desire for selfexpression, flexibility of training schedules, social aspects, and physical fitness. Statistical data reflecting student involvement in alternative physical activities is presented. The article also discusses the prospects for the development of these sports in the educational environment and possible support measures from universities.
