Ozonotherapy in treatment of patients with acute secondary mediastinitis

The aim of the study was to improve the results of treatment of patients with acute secondary mediastinitis.Material and methods: The results of ozonotherapy in patients with acute secondary mediastinitis are compared with standard treatment.Results: The use of lavage mediastinum ozonized sodium chloride solution has reduced the frequency of postoperative complications, repeated interventions, deaths.During the treatment, early normalization of the patients’ condition was noted, a decrease in the length of stay in the intensive care unit and hospitalization.The conclusion: The data obtained indicate the effectiveness of ozone therapy in the treatment of patients with acute secondary mediastinitis.
