We usually take the past for granted. Only contemporaries ‘were allowed' to create history. We can only understand it. As a work of art. From the psychological point of view, it is clear why one hundred years ago the Russian society adopted Nietzsche's philosophy so quickly. These were ideas, which German and Russian readers understood alike. In western, first of all, American and German literature, many special works are devoted to the problem of Nietzsche's ideological legacy in Russia. There is a number of research works devoted to the influence of Nietzsche's doctrine on moral tradition in not only across West and East Europe, but also in America and Asia. The article provides a comparative study of the worldview, poetics and creative style of the most prominent authors L.Andreev, M.Bulgakov, M.Zoshchenko, M.Gorky and others. The researcher highlights peculiar features of their literary aims and devices in terms of the philosophical ideas of the Silver Age (the beginning of the twentieth century).
