Complications after autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) were associated with decrease of patients (pts) quality of life (QoL) index. Oxidative imbalance also may affect symptom burden. The aim of our study was to investigate possible association between symptom burden and oxidative stress activity in multiple myeloma (MM) pts during the early post-transplantation period.Materials and Methods. The retrospective analysis of 24 pts data (median age is 58 years) was performed. The MDASI and the SF-36 questionnaires were used for symptom and QoL assessment. Plasma antioxidant status was measured by detecting the level of serum malonic dialdehyde (MDA). MDA level was detected by the colorimetric method. Statistical analysis was performed by Microsoft Exel 2013 and StatSoft Statistica 10.Results. In early post-transplantational period QoL index decreased significantly at Day+7 after ASCT (p
