The basic conceptual points of higher professional and language education are considered. Peculiarity of intercultural education in a university is defined. The goals of this education are settled and special stress is made on the problem of managing the process. This management is shown from the participative position. The necessity of working out the theoretical fundamentals and methodological and engineering supply of participative management as a strategy of interculturally oriented education in a university is substantiated.
