The paper studies traditions of Russian hagiography in works by F. A. Abramov. It examines different ways of introduction of hagiographical elements into secular texts proved through the examples of rarely analyzed short stories by the writer: Swans flying by, Tale of a great communard, Olyosha's izba and others.
