The genre originality of the story of F. A. Abramov “of The tribe by Avvakum”

In the article the features of functioning of the hagiographic tradition in modern Russian literature are regarded. Special attention is paid to the hagiographic genre of the story as a meaningful phenomenon of contemporary literary process. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of little-known works by F. Abramov, “Of the tribe by Avvakum”, it investigates its problems and poetics, reveals the uniqueness of style, decrypted hidden layers of ideological and aesthetic debate, commented intertextual layer, the conclusion about the genre and stylistic originality.
