Patriotic education of Russians based on media education resources

The article presents results of the theoretical study concerned with the patriotic education of Russian citizens. The topic is undoubtedly important for contemporary Russia, it is reflected both in philosophical conceptions, government programs, and in education. In the process of studying the works of Soviet and Russian media teachers and cinematographers, the author comes to the conclusion that media education resources can contribute to the effective resolution of problems of patriotic education in Russia.
