Teaching and independent research activity of bachelors of arts and crafts

The problem of training Bachelors of Arts and Crafts for their further professional activity is considered. The study presents the ways to solve the existing problem in the academic process which are being developed by the Folk Art and Crafts Department in Krasnodar State Institute of Culture. The surveys are carried out while studying the majors and doing internships and work studies by students and have a certain sequence: field studies management, educational researches arrangement, ethnological topics development, report presentations and publications in conference proceedings, writing Bachelor’s thesis. The author elaborates on teaching and independent research activity of students based on the experience of folk craftsmen, which leads to the effective training of Bachelors of Arts and Crafts.
