The formation and development of professional-creative qualities of the university teacher is the actual problem of education closely connected with life conditions in the current geopolitical environment. The changes in the university teacher are investigated on the basis of the paradigmatic method, because the prevailing educational paradigms on the whole reflect the most significant global and domestic relevant features of the development of the education sector. One of the important features is the anthropocentricity of innovations in society. The meta-factor of the same name determining formation and development of the teacher is intended to minimize the influence on the teacher of the conditions that undermine his socio-psychological state. The paper substantiates the following meta-factors of formation and development of professional-creative qualities of the university teacher: educator's self-development, personal development of the student, co-creation of educational activities at the level of their co-existential community, openness of the educational environment, the synergetic interaction of its components and self-organization. Particular attention is paid to innovation in education and its informatization. The educational innovations in the higher school should imply only those which are focused on the industrial and social innovations.
