Pedagogical conditions and model of professional training of future physical education teachers for recreational work in secondary schools

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of professional training of future physical education teachers for recreational work in secondary schools, which should be considered as a targeted educational process aimed at the formation of a certain substantive and procedural complex of professional competencies and implying the full development of a certain theoretical, methodological and didactic basis. A number of problems and contradictions inherent in the current state of the problem of professional training of future physical education teachers for recreational work with children and adolescents in a general school environment, as well as the lack of models and pedagogical technologies adequate to the needs of society for the formation of their physical culture and recreational competence, are noted. The article presents the results of a study aimed at compiling and theoretically substantiating a model of professional training of future physical education teachers for recreational work with primary school students, corresponding to the existing public demand. The article substantiates the relevance of this problem, reveals the essence of the concepts of “recreation” and “recreational activity” in relation to secondary school. The article describes the pedagogical conditions of professional training of future physical education teachers for recreational work with schoolchildren, identified on the basis of analytical scientific work in the course of solving the tasks set in the study, as well as a description and theoretical justification of the author’s model of professional training of future physical education teachers for recreational work. The author emphasizes that the next stage of research work in this area should be the practical substantiation of the compiled model through the development on its basis and the implementation of experimental technology for the professional training of future physical education teachers for recreational work in general schools.
