Educational environment for the development of adult students’ creative needs in the Chinese painting (Guohua) classes

The paper discusses the necessity of creating the educational environment for developing artistic and creative needs of art studio adult members during classes of traditional Chinese brush painting (guohua). The study describes the necessary conditions for the development of creative needs which is carried out by the direct engagement of a person in creative activity. It depends on the degree of personal involvement in the activity-based process and the level of interaction between the creative need for cognition and the need for artistic expression. The author reviews the group of students aged 30-45 in the context of their desire to be actively involved in public life, in terms of an active use and application of their knowledge and skills, a constructive solution of diverse life challenges on the path to personal self-fulfilment. The paper presents the findings of a survey conducted to determine the extent of adults’ creative needs development in the Chinese painting (guohua) classes.
