Pedagogical potential of Sakha people’ ethno-cultural traditions in the educational work of Yakutia's specialized secondary educational establishments

The aim of this paper is to examine ethno-cultural values that represent moral guidelines for the upbringing of the younger generation in order to preserve the gene pool of peoples living in the extremely harsh conditions of the North. Theoretically substantiated the need to take into account national peculiarities and cultural attitudes in the modern educational and upbringing process. Ethnocultural axiological cross-links have been shown to have a significant impact not only on the formation of personal qualities of individuals, but also on the organization of competence-oriented education. In practical terms, study has been carried out into the pedagogical potential of Sakha ethno-cultural traditions for the personal development of students at Namsk Teacher Training College (Rural Teacher Training College) and the City Technical Lyceum. The authors have identified individual significant indicators for determining the impact of the Sakha ethno-cultural traditions' pedagogical potential on updating the content of secondary specialized educational institutions' educational activities in the spirit of responsible attitude towards nature, the surrounding people and oneself. The empirical results of the study can be successfully applied in the educational institutions of the region for the correction of ethno-cultural activities.
