The pedagogical potential of the educational activities of cultural institutions

The article substantiates the importance of studying the essence and specifics of the pedagogical potential of educational activities in cultural institutions. The author's definition of the concept of "educational activity" in relation to the socio cultural sphere is presented. he choice of axiology as a new methodology of educational activity in revealing its humanistic principles and pedagogical capabilities is justified. The social functions of the pedagogical potential of educational activities are identified and characterized: humanistic, valuesemantic, cultural, as well as the function of pedagogical interaction of a specialist with visitors to cultural institutions. The criteria for choosing pedagogical technologies for organizing educational activities are formulated, among which are: factors of transformation of modern forms of organizing the pedagogical process in cultural institutions, the development of new pedagogical means of goalsetting in the organization of educational activities. It is concluded that the pedagogical potential of modern educational activities is based on three leading components: cognitive, developmental, and educative, each of which has distinctive features.
