The problem of modeling the process of pedagogical support of adaptation of college students in the educational environment of a multilevel educational complex is viewed. Various approaches to defining the essence of the concept of pedagogical support are presented: from the point of view of the structure and content of activities; from the standpoint of the resource approach and professional pedagogical activity, as well as the pedagogical system and increasing the effectiveness of teaching with the help of didactic material. The features of the application of the modeling method in pedagogical science are revealed. The model of pedagogical support of adaptation of college students in the educational environment of a multilevel educational complex is presented. The model includes orientation-target, information-content, procedural-activity and evaluative-criteria blocks, each of them performs certain functions in the process of pedagogical support of students' adaptation. The model is considered as a mechanism for the practical implementation of pedagogical support for the successful adaptation of the first-year students in a college, which is a part of a multilevel educational organization.
