The article substantiates the need for pre-professional training of high school students in the form of teacher classes. The role and place of pedagogical classes in the system of continuous pedagogical education is revealed. Their motivational and personality-developing functions are shown. The characteristics of the program for organizing the activities of the pedagogical classes are presented, including: the goal, tasks, modules (educational, practical, educational). The expediency of implementing a model of network interaction between general educational organizations and higher education based on the cluster principle, which creates conditions for professional self-determination of students of pedagogical classes, the formation of their value attitude to pedagogical activity, is proved. The results of the initial study of students who have chosen a pedagogical profile for themselves in the educational trajectory are presented. The necessity of organizing serious work with students of pedagogical classes to form their conscious choice of the teaching profession is shown.
