Outsourcing of services by the manufacturer: the problem of choosing a model of cooperation between the manufacturer and the outsourcing company

The purpose of this study is to solve the complex problem of decision-making by the manufacturer on the choice of a strategy, a model of mutual cooperation between manufacturers and contractors for the provision of services when there is a need for the first to transfer services for the maintenance of their product to the second, while services are divided into two types: basic and motivational. Value creation models for the manufacturer, service contractor and consumer are constructed, rational scenarios for the optimal combination of outsourcing various types of services and their impact on the effectiveness of the manufacturer and contractor alliance as a whole are studied. The results show that when a manufacturer has more innovative, technical and technological advantages in providing services than a contractor, he should create his own motivational service and outsource basic services in order to create more value. When a manufacturer is limited in resources or capabilities and is forced to outsource a motivational service, he can maintain a high level of efficiency by setting appropriate terms of an agreement with an outsourcing company.
