The article is the second part of the translation of extant Greek, Latin and Armenian fragments of St. Cyril of Alexandria’s exegetical work entitled “Commentary on the Epistle to the Hebrews”. The translation is provided with thematic headings, in the notes, references and allusions to the biblical texts are adduced, as well as textological information is given and the addressees of the saint’s polemics are indicated. On the basis of the “Epistle to the Hebrews” St. Cyril reveals the issues of soteriology and christology, talks about the salutary economy of Christ (incarnation, suffering and glorification, high priestly and prophetic ministry), and also polemicizes with Theodore of Mopsuestia’s christological dualism. In addition, the translated fragments contain elements of moral and ascetic teaching, and also demonstrate the superiority of the New Testament over the Old.
