The article deals with the analysis of the main ideas given in the report by the Greek Orthodox theologian Nikos A. Nissiotis, who participated at the meeting of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches which took place at Geneva in February 1966. As the Director of the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey and an observer for the World Council of Churches at the Second Vatican Council, Nikos A. Nissiotis presented a remarkable report on the last session of the Council just as he had done for the previous sessions. The important observations contained in this report have prompted some reflections by father Dumitru Stăniloae as an attempt to underline their significance and to develop their content in the Orthodox framework. First publication of this article was in Romanian: Stăniloae D., Sfântul Duh şi sobornicitatea Bisericii // Ortodoxia, 19 (1967), pp. 32-48. The translation from English into Russian was made after the edition: Staniloae D. The Holy Spirit and The Sobornicity of The Church Extracts from the Report of an Orthodox Observer at the Second Vatican Council // Staniloae D. Theology and the Church. New York: St. Vladimir’s Seminary Press, 1980. Р. 45-72. The design of links is made according to this edition.
