Periodization of the Transformation of Student Teachers’ Practicum in China in the Second Half of the 20th – Early 21st Centuries

The historical and pedagogical knowledge regarding the formation of the institute of practical training of future teachers in different countries of the world is often unstructured. The aim of the research is to periodise the transformation of practical training of future teachers in China in the second half of the XXth – early XXI century on the basis of the analysis of scientific articles and primary sources. Historical-genetic, factual and problem-chronological methods of research were applied. The main results of the research consist in defining and justifying four stages of transformation of practical training of future teachers in China during the period under study. The novelty of the study is provided by the systematisation of historical and pedagogical knowledge, which contrib-utes to understanding the mechanisms of transformation and developing innovative approaches to teacher training. The results of the research could be used by comparativists and taken into account when planning Russian pro-grams for the practical training of future teachers.
