The first steps of reforming organizational and economic system of the national cinematography in the period of perestroika

The subject of the research is the initial stage of reforming the fi industry, which includes the period from 1986 to 1989. The article analyzes the course of the “revolutionary” V Congress of the Union of Cinematographers, held in May 1086. The activities of the new secretariat of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR (headed by previously disgraced director E. Klimov) are considered, aimed at restructuring the work of Soviet cinema. The author studies the process of development by fi of a basic model of market cinema, as well as its further implementation. The article analyzes the issues of the new personnel and repertoire policy in the fi of cinematography. The purpose of this study is to analyze the course of those processes that took place in the cinema in the fi years of perestroika, to identify their main trends and draw conclusions. The article was written using the following qualitative methods: historical-genetic analysis method, descriptive analysis of literature, archival and other materials, qualitative content analysis of documents, reports and other materials, comparative analysis, secondary analysis of statistical data. The results of the article can be used to conduct a deeper analysis of the processes of reforming the fi industry in the period of Perestroika. They are quite applicable to current realities. Errors, distortions and deformations that took place during the course of the reform did not remain in the past - they are still being felt. Perestroika laid the foundation of the current Russian cinema, and now it has become obvious that this foundation built up in haste, inconsistently and with some miscalculations in its very design, created after the collapse of the USSR very unfavorable conditions for the development of cinema of the new Russia
