The system of higher professional education is currently developing taking into account the main trends of social progress associated with the processes of digitalization and digital transformation, the requirements for the cross-subjectivity of competencies formed in future specialists and the development of “soft” skills in them. In addition, when preparing a teacher for the implementation of professional activities, the conditions of uncertainty and the corresponding situations of uncertainty associated with the instability of the internal and external conditions of this activity must be taken into account. In the field of training specialists in the field of physical culture and sports management, it is also important to take into account possible situations of uncertainty and prepare students to solve professional problems in such situations. The purpose of the article is a theoretical analysis of the problem of preparing a teacher for the implementation of professional activities in conditions of uncertainty and the identification of effective ways to implement this process. Situations of uncertainty in the professional activities of physical education and sports teachers were analyzed and described, and methods of preparing a teacher for the implementation of professional activities in conditions of uncertainty were developed and filled with content using the example of teaching students in the master’s program «Management in the field of physical education and sports.»
