Preparing students for their first teaching practice: problems and prospects

The relevance of the article is due to the problems of preparing students for pedagogical practice, the specifics of the formation of professional competencies among students of pedagogical training areas. The paper describes the conducted research on the level of students’ readiness for the first pedagogical practice, analyzes its results, and reveals the main problems that students face during practice. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the article presents recommendations for improving the preparation and organization of teaching practice, and offers an individual approach to the development of communicative and organizational skills among students with different levels of readiness for practice. The author takes into account the development of students’ personal qualities, their empathy, professional knowledge and skills, and on this basis offers various options for individual correction plans. The article offers methodological recommendations for the implementation of teaching practice tasks, provides lesson analysis schemes, standard lesson plans and educational activities. The results of the internship are summarized, conclusions are drawn about the effectiveness of the proposed recommendations, and prospects for work on the preparation and planning of the following pedagogical practices for students of the considered training areas are outlined.
