Бесплатный доступ

In the article the poem Décadence by V. Nabokov is analysed in com-parison with Langueur by P.-M. Verlaine: the traditional for the Russianauthor-emigrant theme of exile is revealed in imagines of the famous workby the French poet. The discrepancy between these two poetic texts (thelyric hero of Décadence says, that he is ready to commit suicide) is condi-tioned by peculiar Nabokov's method of overcoming of exile: traveling onthe Motherland in dream or finding it on the other side of death. This meta-physical method is specific threshold of Nabokov's transformation in Eng-lish writer.
