Politically correct euphemisms in migration discourse (based on the 2022 report of the International Organization for Migration)

The relevance of studying politically correct euphemisms in migration discourse is due to the influence on the formation of public opinion; the creation of a more respectful attitude towards migrants. The focus of this article is on politically correct euphemisms in migration discourse based on the material of the World Migration Report 2022 (World Migration Report 2022). The scientific novelty of the study is the consideration of the phenomenon of political correctness in its dynamics in terms of the prospects for its evolution in the light of modern trends that have emerged in Western political discourse in recent years. The development of euphemization, corresponding to current cultural trends, including political correctness, indicates the emergence of a new cultural and linguistic phenomenon. This allows euphemism to become a force capable of shaping a new socio-cultural reality.
