The article delves into the problem of cognitive errors among students. It emphasizes the relevance of studying this problem in the aspect of adolescence, which is the period of higher education. The article presents the results of the study of sex differences among student youth, which can be used by university psychologists in preventive and corrective work with boys and girls prone to cognitive errors. The study involved 485 students aged 17-25 years, including 433 boys and 52 girls. The Cognitive Mistakes Questionnaire (CMQ - OKO) (A. Freeman, R. Devulf) was used to identify the tendency to cognitive errors. The analysis of the obtained data allows us to conclude that the hypothesis of the study is partially confirmed: girls are more prone to various types of cognitive errors, while the hypothesis that students have the most expressed propensity to such cognitive errors as personalization, stubbornness and maximalism is not confirmed.
