Understanding and the hermeneutic function of language in translation

The hermeneutic foundations for the assessment of a translation result lay profound foundations for the methodology of translation enabling to remove the most crying disagreements persisting in the theory of translation. Most theories of translation in the West have been attempting to explain the differences in evaluation from the stations taken as sticking to either “target text and culture” or “source text and culture” while the hermeneutics of translation insists on comprehension and reconciliation of all existing methodological positions in translation activity.
