The article studies the parental education as the philosophical and historical phenomenon in the native pedagogical thought of the first third of the XIX century. The concepts of parental education are considered. There is proposed the primary analysis of all the concepts on which the conclusion of philosophical and pedagogical approaches to understanding the essence of education of children in the family.
