The article raises an urgent question about the role of educational work and the pedagogical process in the formation of a modern personality. Only a well-rounded, literate and polite person can achieve their goals in life and professional activity. Serving the Motherland is more than just a profession, it is an opportunity to bring real benefits to a person, society and the state through its activities, it is a kind of official worldview. To achieve these goals, the employee must be prepared. Moreover, both in terms of general education and in terms of the moral side of his profession. Results. The article examines the concept of "psychological and pedagogical culture", both from the perspective of researchers of the student environment, legal and professional. At the same time, it is emphasized that these definitions cannot fully reveal the essence of the psychological and pedagogical culture of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. One of the opinions is taken as the main one. The definition of the concept of "psychological and pedagogical culture of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation" is given through a systematic analysis of the components of this type of culture, taking into account the points of view of a number of researchers, as well as through the presentation of the author's position.
