The settlement Vengerovo-2 of the Krotovo culture: new data

During 2016 field-season there were investigated two dwelling’s pits of the Middle Bronze Age on the site Vengerovo-2. Dwelling No. 4 has an area of about 127 sq. m, No. 9 - about 67 sq. m, both dwellings are trapezoidal in shape, and the long sides of the dwellings are oriented northeast-southwest. In the center of the pits rectangular hearths are located. Morphologically they are identical to the objects which have been studied previously on the settlement. The hearth from the dwelling No. 4 is remarkable because of the filling composition and a large number of findings in it. During the investigation there were found ceramic fragments, figured ceramic “dibs” in the shape of waterfowl, the rattle crafted as bear’s head.
