Resources of philosophy and methodology of science in the course of development of common cultural competences of master's program students at a modern technical university

The article deals with the position held by philosophy and methodology of science in the system of Russian higher education. Also, the author considers the peculiarities of students' value system development by means of philosophy and methodology of science at a technical university. The author believes that philosophy and methodology of science, acting as a multifunctional phenomenon, form a modern technical picture of the world of students majoring in engineering. It is proved that the choice of value system made by young people is influenced by the sociocultural factors, among which development of common cultural competences by means of the liberal arts of the modern higher school plays a special role.
