The potential of the resources of digital culture in forming the image of paternity in adolescent students

The article is devoted to studying the educational potential of the resources of the digital portal “Culture of the Russian Federation” in forming the image of paternity among adolescent students within the higher education system. The relevance of the topic from the point of view of organizing the educational work with students of the Pedagogical University is emphasized. The aim of the paper was to study the relationship of individual and personal characteristics of students with images of paternity, broadcast through digital cultural resources, and to determine the educational potential of these resources in order to individualize the higher education process. The main objectives of the study were to explore the influence of individual characteristics of the students’ personality on the formed image of paternity and to determine the potential for digital culture resources in forming the image of paternity among adolescent students. The main research methods are theoretical analysis, psychological and pedagogical testing and a survey. To conduct psychological and pedagogical testing, we used the essay “The Ideal Father and Husband”, the diagnostic technique “Masculinity - Femininity” by S. Bem. The study contingent consisted of 38 people, male ( n = 33) and female ( n = 5) 2nd-year-students in the field of study 44.03.01 “Pedagogical Education Profile: Physical Education and Sports”. The results of the study showed that the image of paternity among adolescent students correlates with common types of gender culture. At the same time, the type of psychological gender can influence the image of paternity. The digital resources of the federal portal “Culture of the Russian Federation” reflect the ideas of paternity common in society, corresponding to two types of gender culture - patriarchal and continual. This digital content can be used in the educational process of the university when forming value orientations of the modern younger generation. The paper is applicable for teachers of higher educational institutions, teachers of educational organizations, graduate students, and undergraduates.
