Potential for the development of teacher education in the region

The article deals with the problems of the staff capacityofpedagogical workers of the Volgograd region. Applying the method of descriptive analysis the authors underline the urgency of the competence approach, cover socio-economic factors affecting the potential for further self-development and self-improvement of a teacher. The researchers mention the probability of the need to increase human resources in the Volgograd region due to the achievement of certain indicators analyzed, provided the administrators carryout the planned activities specified in the program aimed at the development ofeducation in the Volgograd region. The paper includes national and federal projects within which the specified indicators and goals are achieved. The article proposes certain ways of solving the problems facing the modern education system. The authors put forward the idea of developing a system of incentives for young teachers, for example, for mastering such “soft skills” as the abilityto organize inclusive learning process and the use of skills in the field of digitalization. Corporate pedagogical culture is also mentioned. The strategic partnership “school-university” is designated as the main direction of building horizontal communication links in the educational cluster.
